PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Public health is a field that deals with the health of the community, by identifying and assessing health problems, developing and implementing strategies to prevent disease and improve health. Prevention in this area is essential to prevent the occurrence and spread of diseases, and can be achieved through vaccination campaigns, health education programs, water and food quality monitoring, etc. However, the realization of these programs also depends on the financial possibilities of the community and the degree of its participation. Therefore, a balance is needed between the need to ensure public health and the possibilities to achieve this.

The Romanian medical system is faced with many problems and the result affects the quality of the medical act. Every citizen of this country has or will need medical services, which they want, first of all, accessible and then complete. The existing dysfunctionalities in a system that is constantly being reformed, as if not taking into account that the goal is to guarantee health protection and ensure public health, according to the constitutional provisions, add more insecurity to the citizen.

The workers in the system do not feel comfortable either, under the pressure of two elements: material shortages on the one hand and legitimate expectations of the citizen, on the other. Those on the front line are the doctors, closely followed by the medical assistants...

The material shortages cannot be denied and the administrations will necessarily take care of it, but an equally big shortcoming lies right behind the human factor: I will only say suffering EMPATHY, both between colleagues and towards the patient. I only use this word because its synonyms include SYMPATHY which implies kindness, attachment, brotherhood, camaraderie, collegiality, friendship, love.

The family doctor, the specialist doctor in the outpatient clinic, in the hospital, treat the same patient according to each one's skills.

The PATIENT, regarded as the parent, brother, kinsman, fellow-citizen, neighbor, brother MAN, with soul, suffering, pain, life and death, is the beneficiary of your high training.

The PATIENT wants you to go into partnership, working together regardless of specialization, age, rank.

The PATIENT looks at you, each one as his savior, waiting above all for a good advice, an explanation, an encouragement, an encouragement. Expect these knowing you highly educated and highly trained people, specific to the chosen profession. More than in other professions, among doctors the prize is (or should be) collective success in treating the sufferer. This success can only be based on trust, help, mutual respect, solidarity, loyalty. There should be a voluntarily assumed obligation, of conscience, of chosen humanity, of experienced doctors to support and help young doctors for a quick integration into the system. At the level of the common citizen, this need feels imperative.

  • On the day of the event, works will be presented on the following topics:
  • – Administrative procedures of state institutions with responsibility in the field.
  • – Awareness of preventive behavior by the citizen...
  • – The doctor and his role in society
  • – The importance of periodic medical investigations,
  • – UPU – medical services between normality and reality,
  • – Health systems, public/private: accessibility, equity and social justice.

The association understands to get involved by supporting through specific actions, the efforts to normalize some clearly dysfunctional aspects. Thus, in partnership with the Buzău County Council, on 04/01/2023, the Seminar with the theme "Public Health: Prevention Between Necessity and Possibility" is organized. It is a good opportunity for the medical staff to meet with the county authorities and the Buzău public. Establishing good links between the authorities, the medical staff and the beneficiary of the medical act, can be an essential condition for increasing the quality of medical assistance. Doctors, resident doctors who work both in the county and in medical units from other localities will be invited.
